MY PATH

From the first rally to elite sport

I started playing tennis at the age of six. I have been competing in elite sport since I was nine. What began as a sport developed early into a central part of my life and later into professional international tournament play.

01

The beginnings

I started playing tennis at the age of six. Since then, the sport has been a constant in my life. At an early age I got to represent Germany at the Europe Cup U12 and won Berlin championship titles from U9 all the way up to the men’s category.

02

College tennis and first steps on the tour

In 2020 I began my college tennis career in the US. Alongside it, I gained my first experience on the pro tour and began to develop my athletic path at the international level.

03

The first ATP point

In 2022 I won my first ATP point in Haren, the Netherlands. Since then I have been traveling the tour, continuously gaining experience in professional international tournament play.

04

Bundesliga and Germany

Since 2023 I have been a regular starter in the 2. Bundesliga for TC 1899 Blau-Weiss Berlin. In December 2025 I had the honor of representing Germany at Master U, the student team world championship in Reims, France.

What tennis has shaped

Tennis taught me early on to act independently, on and off court. For every decision, every mistake and every success, you alone bear the responsibility. That is exactly what has shaped my character: discipline, resilience, clear decisions under pressure and the willingness to keep developing.

I love competing against others, but just as much against myself. Often the biggest opponent is not the player on the other side of the net, but yourself.

STUDENT-ATHLETE

College Tennis

College tennis has shaped me on three levels: athletically, academically and personally. It allowed me to play tennis at a high level, advance my academic career at the same time and develop as a person.

This time forced me to leave my comfort zone. I moved to a foreign country, studied in another language and had to combine more than twenty hours of training and competition per week with my studies.

The start of my college career was not always easy. Still, this time became an unforgettable experience. Getting to know people from all kinds of countries and being able to call many of them today not only former teammates but friends is among the most valuable parts of those years.

In January 2020 I moved from Berlin to Starkville, Mississippi. A year later I transferred to Jacksonville, Florida. Both moves were a culture shock at first, but I met people who made arriving and everyday life enormously easier. The last three years of my college time in particular were exceptional for me, both athletically and personally.

The titles and awards I was able to win with my teams and individually are part of this story. But what remains decisive for me is the entire experience: challenges, development, competition, friendships and many moments I will never forget.

CURRENT

Rehab and comeback

For the past roughly 15 months, I have been training and playing in pain every day. At first I tried to treat the injury conservatively. Since no sufficient improvement came in the long run, surgery eventually became necessary.

I had surgery at the end of August 2026. The procedure has gone successfully so far. I am currently in rehab and working step by step on my comeback to professional tournament play.
